Designed to promote a rapid understanding of complex concepts, Nolte’s The Human Brain in Photographs and Diagrams combines easy-to-digest coverage of the brain, spinal cord, and brainstem with carefully selected visuals to cover all aspects of the information needed for success in coursework, on exams, and in clerkships and clinical practice.

Presents a systemic series of unlabelled whole brain sections next to corresponding sections with important structures outlined and labelled.
Includes a NEW chapter: An Introduction to Neuropathology, as well as NEW review questions online.
Helps you understand the connections between functional systems with detailed diagrams that incorporate actual brain and spinal cord sections.

Reviews from Amazon users, collected at the time the book is getting published. It can be related to shiping or paper quality instead of the book content:
This is an excellent atlas of the human brain. But the newest edition is smaller than the earlier editions, and is no longer spiral-bound. Prior editions are easier to use, because they will open out flat. The figures with structures labeled now have thinner lines that are harder to follow for labeling, and some figures have less contrast. The color in the gross specimens is also faded, compared to prior editions. I’m disappointed in the quality of this edition.
The best brain book and written by doctors from U of A! Surpasses my brain books n nursing school.
Delivered well-packaged and in good condition. I use this for my Neuroanatomy unit and it’s very thorough, sufficiently detailed for what I’ll need probably for the entirety of my neuroscience course.
