User’s Review:
Reviews from Amazon users which were colected at the time this book was published on the website:
Don’t waste your time. I’m a medical assistant that follows a Spine Specialist as he consults patient. MRIs are something that the physician reviews for each and every patient and he typically try to explain to patients of finding and sometimes myself for education reasons. I wanted something that would help give me a better understanding of MRI findings and reading this did absolutely nothing but explain the difference between dark and light shading of the MRIs.
My opinion of the best textbook for Clinicians:1) Is direct and not verbose, arrives at the important concepts quickly and efficiently.2) Is an easy read using proper scientific writing skills, not structuring the sentences or paragraphs in a complicated manner, as many scientific writers do to sound smart.3) Helpful tips throughout the book that helps guide clinical decisions4) Does not cost an arm and a leg.Dr. Morgan’s book hits all the above points. It is a must for spinal MRI reading in non-radiologist clinicians.
Dr. Morgan has done an extremely thorough work on musculoskeletal diagnostic imaging, interpretation and conservative clinical approaches. His systematic approach is logical and removes uncertainties allowing the clinician to provide the most appropriate care for their patients. Well done Dr. Morgan. Thank you for all the hard work and dedication that went into producing this soon to be reference manual.Dr. Andrew Hatch, DC, MBA: CEO and Clinical Director, Global Wellness
This is an excellent resource. William Morgan did a great job putting this together. Excellent information and illustrations. All Chiropractors should own this product.
Dr. Morgan provides the busy clinician with a systematic approach for evaluating spinal MRIs. Early chapters review differences between T1 and T2 weighted images while later chapters explain the effects of various artifacts and the rationale for using gadolinium contrast. The role of upright MRI is reviewed and the book ends with an informative series of questions to test your knowledge. Twenty years ago, this book would have sold for over $200 and it would have been well worth the price.
Great introduction and reference. As a radiologist I greatly appreciate the approach that Dr. Morgan has taken at breaking down the application and understanding of MR imaging. This is a must-have for every practicing clinician to better understand and appreciate findings described in the reports, as well as when to order an MRI and what specific parameters would be most advantageous. I would highly recommend this book.
The quiz at the back is fantastic. Great refresher, wonderful review! Easily read, quickly and clearly illustrated-the quiz was the best!
Quick and easy MRI fundamentals. You will be able to read spinal MRI with much more confidence. I would highly recommend This ebook
This is a well written and enjoyable book on introductory aspects of spinal MRI. I would recommend it to anyone who will get “exposed to” MR images in practice, as a foundation for more in depth study.
