Get a multi-dimensional understanding of musculoskeletal anatomy with Anatomy Trains: Myofascial Meridians for Manual Therapists & Movement Professionals, 4th Edition. This hugely successful, one-of-a-kind title continues to center on the application of anatomy trains across a variety of clinical assessment and treatment approaches — demonstrating how painful problems in one area of the body can be linked to a “silent area” away from the problem, and ultimately giving rise to new treatment strategies. This edition has been fully updated with the latest evidence-based research and includes new coverage of anatomy trains in motion using Pilates-evolved movement, anatomy trains in horses and dogs, and the updated fascial compendium on elements, properties, neurology, and origins of the fascial system. It also offers a new, larger library of videos, including animations and webinars with the author. In all, this unique exploration of the role of fascial in healthy movement and postural distortion is an essential read for physical therapists, massage therapists, craniosacral therapists, yoga instructors, osteopathologists, manual therapists, athletic and personal trainers, dance instructors, chiropractors, acupuncturists, and any professional working in the field of movement. Revolutionary approach to the study of human anatomy provides a holistic map of myoanatomy to help improve the outcomes of physical therapies that are traditionally used to manage pain and other musculoskeletal disorders. Relevant theory descriptions are applied to all common types of movement, posture analysis, and physical treatment modalities. Intuitive content organization allows students to reference the concept quickly or gain a more detailed understanding of any given area according to need. Section on myofascial force transmission in gait dynamics is written by guest author James Earls. Robust appendices discuss the relevance of the Anatomy Trains concept to the work of Dr Louis Schultz (Meridians of Latitude), Ida Rolf (Structural Integration), and correspondences with acupuncture meridians. New photos and images of fascial tissues, adhesions, and layers provide a better understanding of text content. Revised and expanded content reflects the most up-to-date research and latest evidence for the scientific basis of common clinical findings. New, larger library of videos includes animations and webinars with the author. New Anatomy Trains in Motion section by guest author Karin Gurtner uses Pilates-evolved movement to explore strength and plasticity along myofascial meridians. New addition: Anatomy Trains in Quadrupeds (horses and dogs) is mapped for equine and pet therapies by Rikke Schultz, DVM, Tove Due, DVM, and Vibeke Elbrønd, DVM, PhD. New appendix: Updated fascial compendium on elements, properties, neurology, and origins of the fascial system. NEW! enhanced eBook version is included with print purchase, which allows students to access all of the text, figures, and references from the book on a variety of devices.

Reviews from Amazon users which were colected at the time this book was published on the website:
I ordered the Kindle version, and didn’t learn until it was too late to get a refund that the Kindle edition is a rip-off.When I reached out to the publisher to try to figure out how to get access to the advertised “library of videos, including animations and webinars” they told me it wasn’t included. They recommended I return the Kindle book and order the paper book, but it was too late. Amazon won’t let me return the Kindle version, and the publishers will not give me access to the “larger library of videos, including animations and webinars with the author.”For $50, I feel robbed.
Beautifully done! Love the cadaver pictures. I do medical massage, so it is nice to be able to really see the direction of muscle fibers and fascia, not just imagining from an illustration. There are several great illustrations in this book as well. Book is well organized and a fairly easy read given the content. Well written. I really love this book. I keep it close at hand, because it is also a great reference guide. Would definitely buy again.
Amazing book- helps to see how fascial chains run and function of each chain. Good pictures
Tom Meyers did a great job with this book and I use it with each of my massage classes. The information can be used for beginners with a good instructor but people with advanced knowledge will find plenty of content also.
No video access. It should have been listed under description
The book is fine, it’s a little harder to use than the hard copy. The problem is I can’t access the website with the additional info
This is an amazing book. However I did not think I was renting it. I thought I had purchased it. And I’m not sure how to communicate that to Amazon to make it right.
The book was in a good condtion and it tooks 10 days to come to suadi arabia .
This is a great book. I have learned so much from it. It also comes with access to a large library of videos from the author which are exceptional. I have learned many techniques from the videos that my clients find highly beneficial.
I’m sure this book does not appear on layman radar, but in my case, the knowledge I gathered from this book is combined with ‘Encyclopedia of modern bodybuilding’. One way or another it may improve your sport life, help you to re-think about your old injuries or develop good strategy towards your new sport goal. A must have for all athletes.

I bought the 2nd edition in Oct 2019 (more than one, actually) but I went for the older editions because I don’t like living online and having my every keystroke and cursor hover monitored. I recently saw an expert on the book and was discussing the sections relevant to my treatment (she teaches this at university) and she said “the 4th edition contains changes” so I bought the 4th edition. The change described relates to the effect on the Line described on the back of the book (Functional Lines). So, with further research, and some stretches and treatment, together with advice from a book called “Knee Ability Zero” – I have just about made a dent in a problem that has baffled me for years and cost a fortune (despite many “experts” in the field of physiotherapy, and orthotic foot doctors telling me their exercises were correct and it was my fault for not doing the exercises properly – which was bull because I did ALL OF THEM FULLY FOR YEARS). They were all wrong – the body is complex. Even the Muscles Premium app latest edition (far worse than the original) was unhelpful.
before buying I read on comments that the code for videos is not working but it’s not right. I’m enjoying the videos now and I am happy with them I have read the second edition before , So I was kinda familiar with the book and concept but bought it again as I have much respect the author Thomas Myers and was interested to see the latest additions.
